How it works
- 01
Drop in the master
The final WAV you'd send to your distributor. Up to 250 MB and 10 minutes, and it never leaves your device.
- 02
We measure the whole song
Integrated loudness and loudness range to the EBU R128 standard, plus true peak with 4× oversampling, the way streaming services measure.
- 03
Read the report, then listen
Each check passes, fails or flags something worth a look. Then play the song at Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube level and hear what listeners get.
Worth knowing
A report, not a rulebook.
There's no correct loudness. Plenty of great records are very loud or very quiet on purpose, so treat the loudness notes as information. Platforms change their rules now and then, and listeners can switch normalization off or pick a louder setting. Apple doesn't say how far Sound Check will raise a quiet song with loud peaks, so that number is our best estimate. MP3 and AAC files can measure a little differently from the WAV they came from.
Built in-house, no third-party code. Loudness follows ITU-R BS.1770-4 and EBU R128 (Tech 3341 and 3342). Platform targets come from each service's published guidance, checked October 2026.
