Worth knowing
These are starting points, not rules.
Math gets the timing in the pocket, but the right decay depends on the vocal, the arrangement and how dense the mix is. Set it here, then trust your ears. Times assume 4/4; for other meters the note values still hold, but “1 bar” means four beats.
