  • 01Converting an MP3 to WAV won't bring back detail the MP3 already threw away.
  • 02For stems that need to stay lined up, choose WAV. MP3 encoding adds a little silence at the start.
  • 03Metadata, markers and artwork aren't carried over.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add your files

Drop in WAV, MP3, AIFF, FLAC or M4A files. What decodes depends on your browser; WAV and MP3 work everywhere.

  2. 02

    Pick the output

MP3 at 128, 192 or 320 kbps, or WAV at 16 or 24-bit. Every file in the batch gets the same settings.

  3. 03

    Download

Grab files one at a time, or download the whole batch as a single ZIP.

Worth knowing

Converting can't make a file better than its source.

MP3 is lossy: it throws detail away to save space, and converting back to WAV won't restore it. Send WAVs to anyone mixing or mastering your song, and keep MP3s for sharing demos and references. Your browser does the decoding, so a rare file type may not open; if one fails, export it as WAV from your DAW.

MP3 encoding by lamejs (LGPL-3.0), a JavaScript port of LAME. ZIP files by client-zip (MIT).
